Sound Mix is proud of the musical talent we have within our group – but we’re always on the lookout for enthusiastic singers who would like to join us.
You are very welcome to come along to one of our rehearsals on a Saturday morning and hear us sing, either learning a new song or practising a current one – just get in touch. If you like what you hear, then just say so. We’ll do the rest.
Once you have decided the part that suits you best, we’ll equip you with everything you need; a complete set of music, a “mentor” to show you the ropes in the early days, and audio tracks to help you learn your part.
As the chorus strives to achieve a high standard, you’ll be asked to take an audition once you’re ready for it. Don’t worry about this, you won’t be asked to sing a solo, you’ll simply sing one of the chorus songs with the 3 other parts so our Musical Director can assess that you’re ready to become a full member of the group.
Once you’re a full singing member, you can look forward to participating in the great concerts and sing outs that we perform throughout the year! We are also a very sociable chorus, with many get togethers throughout the year.
