Rehearsals

We rehearse every other Saturday morning from 10.30am to 1.00pm at the Spire Church, Farnham, GU9 7QU. A pre-rehearsal coffee or tea and chat awaits from 10am onwards, followed by a prompt start at 10.30am. There’s a short break about 11.30am.

Rehearsals start with a 15-minute physical and vocal warm-up. We then rehearse our repertoire, both in full chorus and in voice part sectionals as necessary.

The music and learning tracks are provided online. It is important that the songs are known well. Every member of the chorus needs to be on top of his/her part, otherwise the rehearsal experience becomes less satisfactory as we aim to create a performance for each song. Because there are so few rehearsals, relatively speaking, members must be able to commit to attend them all, barring exceptional circumstances.
