Sound Mix was delighted to present the musical magic of Christmas in a candle-lit Spire Church. We presented a programme of Christmas songs, old and new, audience carols, all interspersed with some seasonal jazz piano and organ performed by the superb jazz pianist and organist, Gareth Giles
Sound Mix was excited to be invited to open the live music in the Community Tent at the Shalford Annual Great Fair 2023.

What a special evening performing with the wonderful Rowledge Community Choir! We were delighted to sing to such an appreciative audience.
We were absolutely delighted to be invited to perform at the Woking Music Festival ‘Young Musician of the Year’ competition. It was a wonderfully uplifting evening – we all thoroughly enjoyed the accomplished recitals from such oustanding young musicians.
As a result of our performance at the Woking Music Festival we were honoured with the following awards from the Committee:
“On behalf of the Woking Music Festival Committee I would like to congratulate you on your performances of Henry Mancini’s ‘Moon River’ and Gershwin’s ‘I got rhythm’ at the recent Festival. I am delighted to inform you that you have been nominated by the Festival Committee as the winner of this year’s ‘Sandra Bedford Memorial Award’ for the most memorable performance of the Festival.
On considering all the entries in the Choirs section of the Festival, the committee also had no hesitation in nominating ‘Sound Mix’ for a second award: the Grace Wright Rose Bowl for the best choral performance of the 2022 Festival. “
Sound Mix entered the Woking Music Festival in the ‘Adult Choirs’ section and was delighted to win that class with an ‘outstanding’ classification. We were praised for our ‘exquisite piano’ singing.
As a result of our performance we were invited to perform at the ‘Young Musician of the Year’ competition section of the festival and were honoured with two further awards from the Committee – see the separate blog for details.
Sound Mix was delighted to be invited to perform alongside the hosts, the highly accomplished barber shop chorus Sound Company and the fabulous ladies chorus Winchester A Capella. The audience was treated to a variety of entertaining songs and music.
Sound Mix was delighted to be invited to take part in performing at All Saints Church in Crondall as part of their fundraising concert. As well as performing our own repertoire we also joined the All Saints Festival Choir for some items. We were also entertained by the trumpet soloist Mike Chapple along with other recitals and readings.
Sound Mix entered the Bournemouth Music Competitions Festival for the first time on July 2 2022 and came away with two big wins.
Sound Mix, in competition with much larger choruses, won the ‘Music from the Shows‘ class. Its performance was described as “outstanding” and “special singing moments here – a capella wow!” by the adjudicator.
The emotional, heart-rending, performance of ‘Moon River‘ led to the chorus being awarded the Geoffrey and Barbara Stark Memorial Award for the most outstanding choral performance of the day.
Sound Mix was delighted to have been invited to take part in the celebrations at the Lightwater Jubilee Show.
